Summary/Abstract: This paper reconsiders the analysis of A. Willi, who recently revived the question of medical terminology in Aristophanes. It is agreed that somewhat more cautious approach is necessary, when dealing with the interactions between the Corpus hippocraticum and the Aristophanic comedy. However, it must also be recognized that the disease motif is significant for Aristophanes, though its function seems to be radically different from that of the „hippocratic” disease.
