Summary/Abstract: The development of the modern historical era and digital technologies predetermined the emergence of the fine art new vision. This requires supplementing the training of students of pedagogical specialties with the inclusion of digital art as part of the drawing curriculum. The creative process activation and the growing inevitability of involving students in pictorial activity requires future pedagogical staff in the art field to use the possibilities of digital technologies. The article examines the need to apply digital art to the students of pedagogical specialties drawing training and how this affects their creative activity and preparation. The purpose of the study is to trace and compare the construction of the digital art with the academic etude. Тhe tasks set is related to volume-spatial search with classical materials and a toolkit that the digital technologies can offer. The research is based on analyzing theoretical sources, curricula and experimental work. As a result of the experiment, it was found that the use of the digital art possibilities to build a volume-spatial etude arouses interest among students. Through the digital drawing, they acquire more pictorial literacy, enrich their technological knowledge and skills for practical application in pedagogical practice. The conclusions that were made refer to the purposeful use of digital art as a supplement to the academic etude classical processing and the creative potential development of the students of the pedagogical specialties.
