Summary/Abstract: Employee motivation and job satisfaction are critical to the success of an organization. This study aims to determine the relationship between employee motivation and job satisfaction in the banking sector. It also examines the relationship between demographic factors and motivation and job satisfaction. Employees with high levels of motivation and job satisfaction show more commitment to their jobs, exhibit a higher performance and create a positive atmosphere in the workplace in general. A total of 221 volunteer bankers working in private banks in the European Region of Istanbul participated in the study. According to the results of the research, it was found that there is a relationship between intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation and job satisfaction. Accordingly, as intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of bank employees increases, job satisfaction also increases. As a result, these findings show that there is a strong and positive relationship between bank employees' motivation levels and job satisfaction.
