Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the results from a questionnaire among 20 resource teachers and teachers of visually impaired who present a representative picture for Bulgaria of the state of teaching of the three special programs - daily living skills, orientation and mobility, and low vision training to pupils included in mainstream schools, they provide support to. The majority of the teachers teach on a regular basis all special programs to their students except for cases when the special program is not applicable. The teachers encounter a positive change in the daily living skills, in the orientation and mobility skills and the vision skills of the visually impaired students after the start of the training. The three special programs are part of the Plan of Support for the visually impaired pupils. This way a proper and fine level of future independence is secured for the visually impaired students.
