Summary/Abstract: The European Union (EU) has long recognized the importance of occupational health and safety (OHS) in safeguarding workers' well-being and ensuring safe working environments across member states. However, with rapidly evolving work environments, new technologies, and emerging risks, it is crucial for the EU to modernize its legislation and policies in this area. This article explores the current state of EU OHS legislation, identifies key challenges, and offers recommendations for reform to better address contemporary workplace hazards. The aim is to ensure that the EU OHS framework remains fit for purpose in an ever-changing global and technological landscape
