Functioning of states in the geopolitical space

Summary/Abstract: Economics in contemporary geopolitical realities has a significant impact on the posi-tion of a given country in international relations. A state’s strengh is perceived through the contextof the condition of its economy, its access to natural resources, and the condition of its militaryforces. The division into democracy and autocracy is a premise for choosing the way of behavingtowards a given country by the international community. It also seems worth considering what mo-tivates states to take action in the given period of time, as well as whether past decisions determinedecision-makers to choose a more passive or agressive path of building their own position in theinternational space.
