Summary/Abstract: This article carries out a quantitative and qualitative analysis of 305 Spanish and Polish proverbs featuring historical and literary figures. The author compares proverbs from various sources, noting a prevalence of historical figures over literary ones and a scarcity of shared figures between the two languages. The study highlights the strong relationship between proverbs and the culture of a particular linguistic community while acknowledging cross-cultural influences.
