On the Involvement and Role of Decorative and Applied Art in Art Activity Situations

Summary/Abstract: Through the involvement of decorative painting and modelling in the educational process, conditions are created to study the variety of shapes and colours in the surrounding environment, which find their artistic expression in this type of arts. During preschool years, children establish their first criteria on artistic and aesthetic assessment of the accessible decorative and applied art works, developing assets necessary for the future artist. Decorative and applied art affects children’s feelings, shapes their attitude to the surrounding environment, it also raises aesthetic taste and the ability to value art.
