Summary/Abstract: From the perspective of communication in the context of a medical consultation, the linguistic diversity of Cameroon, constitutes an obstacle to overcome an effective patient care. Previous researches have sufficiently demonstrated this. Faced with language barriers that hinder communication, digital technology and artificial intelligence are considered, today, as effective solutions. This article aims to show the contribution of digital technology and artificial intelligence to communication during a medical consultation. Based on the results of a survey carried out in nine Cameroonian public hospital institutions during these previous researches, the possibilities of communication via the digitization of the patient’s medical file and also the use of artificial intelligence techniques will be examined. The implementation of these solutions will undoubtedly have to face the Cameroonian realities in these areas.
