Summary/Abstract: The article examines the topic of the ideological basis of the political views of the President of the United States Donald Trump. The analysis focuses on the structural changes in post-industrial societies that favor the public attractiveness of pre-modern paleoconservative attitudes, praising the strong will, self-discipline and strength of character. The text argues that despite its ideological appeal, paleoconservatism does not offer effective solutions to the institutional problems of modern societies.
