Summary/Abstract: During the era of globalization, national security is faced with various challenges, among which organized crime, terrorism, human trafficking, drug and weapons sales stand out. In order for the state to effectively deal with these issues, it is necessary to continuously adapt security strategies and tools. The police have a crucial role in maintaining security by carrying out preventive and repressive actions through legal and operational means. Cooperation with global security entities such as INTERPOL, EUROPOL and EUROJUST offers significant advantages, including improved information sharing, improved operational coordination and faster response to threats that cross borders. Nonetheless, there are challenges, such as variations in legislation, administrative hurdles and limitations in data exchange, which can hinder optimal operational efficiency. Despite these difficulties, international cooperation continues to be a key element in strengthening both global and national security.
