Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the amendment of 26 July 2024 to the Standing Orders of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, in particular in the context of its impact on the transparency of the law-making process. The analysis is focused on the changes that concern the regulation of amendments to bills submitted in the course of the legislative procedure, the use of the fast-track legislative procedures for bills and resolutions, and the newly introduced institution of public consultations on bills. The article is supplemented with an analysis of the practice of the application of the new provisions in the first period since their entry into force. The author ends the article with raising the issue of whether the new provisions pose a threat to the efficiency (and, especially, the speed) of the legislative procedure.
