Summary/Abstract: The study aims to study the expressions of solidarity and to map the voluntary cases of help and services offered by agents of the cultural and creative industries during the first wave of the pandemic of the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to support people in the period of the lockdown isolation in Hungary. It provides a typology and examines the narratives and motivations behinds the voluntary initiatives that were included in the research based on personal and online interviews. The study also enumerates the challenges that the cultural sector had to face during the pandemic.
