Summary/Abstract: The article investigates citizens and civil society-based solidarity actors during the first wave of COVID-19 pandemic in Hungary. It dwells on practices of solidarity work, including the generation of new (temporary or enduring) labor relations, labor organizations, valuations and justifications of separating and coalescing paid and unpaid labor in solidarity acts to mitigate different modalities of wider structural and pandemic related vulnerabilities.
