European Central Bank’s response to the financial crisis.

Summary/Abstract: This article reviews the policy of the European Central Bank (ECB) during the 2007–2010 global financial crisis. In the first section the author describes the measures adopted by the ECB after the collapse of the Lehman Brothers investment bank. In the next section she looks at the ECB’s response to the second phase of the crisis. The article concludes with a brief summary.
