Summary/Abstract: For a large proportion of students worldwide, school buses are the main mode of transportation. However, parents, drivers, and school administrators continue to place a high premium on ensuring children's safety when riding school buses. Despite the implementation of several security measures, accidents still occur where children inadvertently leave themselves on school buses, sometimes leading to fatalities. The purpose of this project is to design and develop a system, named iSee, to increase school transportation's efficacy. The system tracks and analyzes children's movements as getting on and off school buses using artificial intelligence and facial recognition software to ensure being safe in real-time. Following this, an assessment of the system revealed high levels of user satisfaction and accuracy in the facial recognition model. With a focus on enhancing school transportation efficiency by guaranteeing children's safety while on school transportation, this study is significant because it can potentially improve the transportation industry as a whole.
