Summary/Abstract: The stability of slopes has been a primary focus of research in recent decades, with numerous studies examining the factors influencing slope deformations. In the Slovak Republic, these geodynamic processes are among the most widespread natural hazards, often associated with geological conditions, hydrological factors, and anthropogenic influences. Previous research highlights the increasing impact of slope movements due to population growth and infrastructure expansion. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between slope instability and external factors, addressing how geological, hydrological, and human-induced influences contribute to the occurrence and severity of slope deformations. It is hypothesized that increased precipitation, lithological composition, and slope inclination significantly affect the frequency and magnitude of these movements. The results confirm that these findings contribute to hazard assessment and risk mitigation strategies while emphasizing the need for improved land-use planning and monitoring systems.
