Summary/Abstract: The peasant granary in Racibórz-Sudół was acquired by the City of Raci¬bórz as a donation in 2012. It was in poor condition and had a heavily damp brick structure and a leaky roof. The granary is a brick and wooden building from 1821, rectangular in plan, covered with a hipped roof, plas¬tered with clay plaster on the wooden part. Due to the estimated high cost of renovation and the lack of functions for the facility, the city planned to move it to the Ethnographic Park in Chorzów, but the city council did not consent to this. The city carried out the renovation in 5 stages in the years 2020–2024 using subsidies from the Silesian Provincial Conservator of Monument, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and Govern-ment Monuments Reconstruction Programme. The roof covering was replaced, moisture insulation was installed, the cracks in the wall were repaired, the framework structure was preserved and the plasters were replaced. Furthermore, the stairs were repaired and the electrical installa¬tion with lighting and fire protection system were installed. By the end of 2024, the renovation cost PLN 633,868.16, of which PLN 338,742.20 came from external funds.
