Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the challenges for gender-inclusive use of Slovak as well as its possible solutions. The gender-inclusive Slovak is percieved as a language variety used by several social groups. The need for this variety comes both from institutional and societal environment. The paper shows nine ways for communicating gender-inclusively in Slovak. In order to create a balanced communicaton one needs to use several of them as not all are appropriate for all communicative situations.
