Summary/Abstract: The article seeks to conceptualise the term “information society” and law as a limiting factor inits operation. Information society has no boundaries, no territory and may be conceptually cap-tured using a functional view. At the same time, the author, as a legal scholar, sees possibilitiesfor a normative response to changes in reality. This is a result of the obligation-setting nature oflaw, where we obtain a tool that allows us to manage and design new solutions, thus respond-ing to action and shaping the future of the information society. In order to accurately identifythe scientific problem, a closer external integration of the legal sciences is necessary, which canlead to reconstructing and discovering the interrelationships of the contemporary world.
