Summary/Abstract: In this text, I describe the importance of mental preparedness in the security industry, presenting the “Cooper Color Code” system, which outlines different levels of readiness -from complete unawareness (Condition White) to a state of shock (Condition Black). This system is particularly valuable for security teams, as it enables quick adaptation to changing environments and helps identify potential threats. The emphasis is placed on both the physical and psychological responses to stress, highlighting the importance of prior training in handling situations that may endanger the life of the protected individual. The system provides clear instructions on how to respond in various scenarios, including roles of specialized units such as bomb squads and protective intelligence agents who ensure safety during missions. The primary objective of the security team is to safeguard the protected person from threats such as attacks or abductions, while also preventing uncomfortable or undesirable situations. The responsibilities of various team roles-such as the commanding agent, limousine drivers, and others-are also specified. Moreover, the text underlines the critical role of prior planning and strict execution of tactical actions to maintain safety during protection operations.
