Summary/Abstract: The election system in a lot of countries in the world have not been changed since the beginning od XIX century, paper is still being used, all the votes have to be counted manually, voting takes places on specific and predetermined locations. There is a growing number of those who are participating in the election process do not trust its efficiency. The electoral system currently in use is not efficient, it is slow, and prone to errors from all parties involved in it (from those who are voting to those being voted for). In this paper we are exploring the possibility of using blockchain technologies and its usage in the election system in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Electronic and mobile voting technologies based on blockchain should allow for a more efficient, faster, and less error prone election system.
