Summary/Abstract: Fast, efficient and cheap transport is a central principle of the European Union, when it comes to the mobility of the population, the progress of the economy and the free flow of goods and capital. The goals of the European transport policy are highlighted in the White Paper from 1992, where the need for quality connection of national transport networks into a single system of European road infrastructure was especially emphasized. And already in 1997, in Helsinki, at the third Pan-European Conference on Transport, the "Declaration of Helsinki" was adopted, which foresees the need for 10 additional Pan-European corridors, including highways. Corridor V aims to connect Italy and the countries of the Western Balkans, with Budapest, Slovakia and Ukraine. The Vc branch integrates BiH into a single transport system of Europe, the Middle East and Russia. The realization of such a grandiose infrastructure project changes the predispositions of our economy, where the development of tourism is especially emphasized through better connection of tourist centers with the surrounding countries and the European Union. This paper will explain in more detail the phases of the construction of Corridor Vc and its direct or indirect impact on the development of the economy and tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
