Summary/Abstract: Background/purpose. This study is designed to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a sexual harassment prevention model through the "Courageous Campus" campaign, explicitly focused on educational strategies within higher education institutions in Medan city. The need for this campaign is driven by the rising incidents of sexual harassment within academic settings, which compromise not only the security but also the educational outcomes and comfort of students. Materials/methods. Employing a qualitative methodology, this research utilizes participatory and non-participatory observations, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions to gather data. The analysis was conducted using NVivo software to facilitate the coding and categorization of main themes, which assisted in uncovering significant patterns and insights regarding the educational campaign's impact on raising awareness about sexual harassment. Results. The findings reveal that the educational campaign has effectively heightened awareness and engagement among the campus community in efforts to address and prevent sexual harassment. Notable behavioral and policy changes within the university underscore the campaign's role in transforming the campus culture towards enhanced safety and inclusivity. Conclusion. The research highlights that integrating educational initiatives with robust legal protections and psychological support is vital for a comprehensive strategy to combat sexual harassment in educational settings. It emphasizes the necessity of a holistic and participatory approach within the campaign to significantly foster a safer educational environment.
