Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the authors analyze the theory of group rights, which in the political discourse opened up questions about the political representation of minority groups. The ideal-type, theoretical model known as the “mirror representation” theory has implications in practice, as indicated by the number of existing ethnic parties in Serbia, then, the ethnic pattern of voting among minority groups, as well as the views of members of minority groups on political representation. Hannah Pitkin’s theoretical starting points play a key role in understanding the political representation of minority groups.
