Summary/Abstract: The context of this paper emphasizes the connection between human capital and economic prosperity, with a particular focus on health, in 58 Sub-Saharan African nations. Given the region’s notable economic and health issues, it provides a crucial step towards analyzing how better health might drive the economic growth. Using a panel dataset for the 58 nations between 2000-2023, through Log-Log modelling as simple and quadratic regressions, human capital is explored through life expectancy and unemployment which have a direct impact on the economies, while factors such as labor force and mortality exert indirect effects. The findings underline the transformative potential of equitable healthcare investments, revealing the possibility of bridging social and economic gaps, thereby positioning health as a cornerstone of economic prosperity and progress in the Sub-Saharan Africa.
