Summary/Abstract: Creative writing skill is a high-level skill that requires not only acquiring creative thinking skills but also being able to put this creativity into writing. In this respect, it is seen as one of the most important skills that individuals should have in the 21st century. This study aims to improve the creative writing skills of 7th grade students. In order to achieve this goal, action research, one of the qualitative research methods in which creative writing activities and anti tales were created, was used. The research progressed within the framework of the action plan and students were enabled to create anti-stories. The study group of the research was formed by easily accessible sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling methods. The study was conducted with five seventh grade students in the first semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. Data were collected using the “Creative Writing Skills Assessment Form” and interview method. Based on the research data, it was determined that the students found the anti tales interesting and that their creative writing skills improved with these activities.
