Summary/Abstract: In April of 2002, I arrived in Sibiu and first met the inspiring faculty and students of Lucian Blaga University. The occasion was an exchange organized by the British Council between Sibiu and my postgraduate institution, the University of Wales, Aberystwyth (now, having devolved from the University of Wales system, operating as Aberystwyth University).
