Summary/Abstract: This study explores the "Theology of the wilderness" in the Book of Numbers, emphasizing its critical role in historical and spiritual formation. The key sections of the research are represented by the terminological excursus on the pluralization of the book's title, the centrality of the desert theme as a space of reformation, the geographical mapping of Israel's 40-year wandering, and the importance of oral history as a complementary factor to geographical explanations. The structure and chronology of Numbers are analysed, marking the temporal boundaries of wilderness theology and detailing the theological and spiritual significance of the Paran desert as the cradle of a renewed generation. The research integrates exegetical strands, Jewish and Christian traditions, and contemporary theological interpretations, proposing new avenues for understanding the dynamic relationship between geography, spirituality, and divine pedagogy.
