Summary/Abstract: Human beings have always strived to beautify their environment and therefore have been inspired by the beauty of nature. Turkish society, which has lived alongside many civilizations, has created a rich Turkish culture with the knowledge it has acquired in the field of culture and art. Flowers and plant motifs are among the most used elements in our traditional arts. Especially after the 15th century, flower culture became important in Turkish society and created a great impact in every field, from social sphere to art, transcending the boundaries of its period. It is an undeniable fact that the flower-filled garden culture, which had an important place in Ottoman culture, had an impact on these developments. Plant-based decoration motifs have an important place in book arts. In this period when naturalistic flowers were used extensively in our book decoration arts; It is decorated with flowers stylized from nature. One of the important works of this century with Turkish paper cutting art flowers is Külliyat-ı Divan-ı Selim. The Turkish paper cutting art composition pages in the divan show us the importance of this art and the point it has reached. With the artistic approach of the 18th century, flowers in vases dominated Turkish paper cutting art and became the most basic motif used. In the ornamental style of the period; Blooming spring flowers, spring branches, rose trees, tulips, hyacinths or single blooming plants are depicted realistically on their own branches and leaves.
