Content analysis of preschool lesson plans aimed at developing the concept of line, created using ChatGPT

Summary/Abstract: Following the emergence of chatbots, particularly ChatGPT, researchers have started exploring their capabilities, credibility, and reliability in educational contexts. This study examines the suitability, theoretical alignment, and creativity of educational content generated by ChatGPT. Specifically, ChatGPT was utilized as a technological tool to create kindergarten lesson plans designed to introduce preschool children to the concept of lines. Using structured prompts, lesson plans were generated and analyzed as the primary data source. The analysis, conducted through the Taguette qualitative analysis software, focused on identifying patterns and variations within the framework of behaviorist and constructivist learning theories. The findings offer practical implications for preschool teachers, emphasizing the potential and limitations of chatbots in lesson planning at preschool level and highlighting critical considerations for their effective integration into educational practice.
