Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of this research is to examine the evaluations of parents of preschool children regarding their parenting attitudes. Within th escope of this purpose, it was aimed to first determine the attitudes of parents with the Parenting Attitude Scale and then to reveal how parents evaluate their own parenting attitudes through interviews. The participants of this research, in which explanatory mixed-methods design was used, consisted of 429 parents of preschool children living in Sarıkamış District of Kars Province. "Parenting Attitude Scale", "Parent Questionnaire" and "Demographic Information Form" were used as data collection tools. The quantitative data were analyzed using the SPSS-25 package program. For qualitative data, content analysis was performed. According to the data obtained, none of the parents participating in the study adopted a democratic parenting attitude, while the majority of them had an authoritarian attitude. This was followed by permissive and overprotective parenting attitudes, respectively. According to theparents' own evaluations, it was determined that while most parents had a democratic attitude, this was followed by permissive, overprotective and authoritarian parenting attitudes, respectively.
