FIVE GAZELS BY ARZÎ DEDE IN A GAZEL MAGAZINE REGISTERED IN NATIONAL LIBRARY WITH THE NUMBER 8121 AND THE ANALYSIS OF THESE GAZELS

Summary/Abstract: Magazines are among the important sources used to reveal the poems of important poets in our literary history. In these works, it is possible to come across new poems by known poets, as well as unknown poets and their poems. This study discusses five gazels belonging to a poet with the pseudonym Arzî Dede, published in the poetry magazine "Mecmua-i Gazeliyyât" registered in the National Library with number 8121, and examines these gazels in terms of form and content. As a result of the study, it is possible to say that two ghazals mentioned are not the subject of any other studies. Moreover, there is only one poet in the literature who uses the pseudonym Arzî. Although there is no concrete evidence as to whether the poems in the magazine belong to this poet or not, the fact that no other poet who wrote poems using this pseudonym is mentioned in the literature increases the possibility that these poems may belong to this poet with the pseudonym Arzî Dede.
