Summary/Abstract: The fixed-term employment contract is a type of atypical employment contract and a contractual formula that derogates from the standard contract, respectively from the individual employment contract of indefinite duration. It is also a way of ensuring flexibility in the conduct of employment relationships. The proliferation and popularity of this type of contract makes it necessary to analyze its legal situation and to correct any shortcomings, which result in disadvantages for one of the parties to the employment relationship, by means of fair and exhaustive rules. The fixed-term employment contract is increasingly used in employment relationships because it offers certain advantages for both parties to the employment relationship. Regardless of the benefits that such a contract offers, it presents numerous vicissitudes and vulnerabilities that need to be eradicated because it creates vulnerabilities for employees, such as the abuse of successive fixed-term employment contracts, the precariousness of fixed-term work, discrimination against these employees compared to permanent employees etc. The article aims to analyze the vulnerabilities of fixed-term employment contracts based on the provisions of national law, in conjunction with the provisions of European law in this area.
