ANALYSIS AND ASSESSMENT OF OPERATIONAL RISK IN BANKS. OPERATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES

Summary/Abstract: The study discusses the analysis and assessment of operational risk in banks, focusing on the identification, measurement and monitoring of operational risk; the capital requirement for operational risk; the assessment of the subcategories of operational risk - risk related to information and communication technologies (ICT), risk of misconduct and risk arising from the model; on the management strategy and risk appetite for taking operational risk. In the context of the analysis of operational risk, the operational sustainability of ICT is presented through the current regulatory framework and the risk management framework in the field of ICT. It also reflects on the strategic challenges of the operational sustainability of digital technologies for banks.
