Summary/Abstract: The Homily on the Sacrament of Communion, preserved in several dozens of East Slavonic copies dating back to the 12th–17th centuries, is known in 5 versions. The extended version of this homily is presented in copies of Zlatoust, Triodion Panegirik, Emerald, and miscellanies of mixed content. The abridged one is found in the Scaliger Paterikon and Ukrainian copies of a special version of the extended edition of the Prologue. The main Prologue edition appeared in Kievan Rus’ in the 60s of the 12th century. In the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, two other Prologue versions of this homily were created: the Museum and Navahrudak editions.
