Summary/Abstract: The probe for measuring alternating voltage is designed according to the principle of capacitive divider or compensated capacitive divider. Regardless of which solution is accepted, the probe must be made so that no voltage deviations or wave superpositions occur according to the telegrapher's equation. For this reason, the high-voltage capacitor is made in the form of a wellsealed gas capacitor. The low-voltage capacitor is made with a dielectric of electronic polarization type (or from mica, which has similar properties to dielectrics with electronic polarization). The biggest problem is in the adjustment resistance, because if it is not well fitted, it causes oscillations and the measurement becomes useless, which is especially evident in the GHz domain The paper presents a solution of the final resistance, which is extremely adapted to the purpose and prevents oscillations of the measured voltage.
