Summary/Abstract: Industry and agriculture, given the availability of significant human resources and natural resources, as well as the achieved level of production and processing, are one of the key economic activities in the region. Ecology and energy transition represents the concept of moving from the exploitation of fossil fuels to renewable energy sources, it is in function of preserving the environment and social development. However, as a result of the transition process, the region's industry and agriculture operate in extremely unstable, unpredictable and unfavorable conditions. They are therefore characterized by an unchanged production structure in, above all, capital-intensive production. The subject and goal of the research of this co-authored scientific-professional paper is to set indicators for measuring performance in the field of quality assurance, as an important parameter of the comprehensive concept of continuous improvement, but also the application of such a concept to the introduction of cleaner production in industry and agriculture. Special attention in this case study is paid to the toxicological characteristics and potential hazards that may result from the use of certain starting materials in the production process of the selected product. The modification of the process in the case that is the subject of analysis in this paper corresponds to the situation when the basic production principle remains unchanged, and the analysis of certain process steps is carried out to enable the replacement of resources that are assessed as harmful and toxic.
