Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the question of the liturgical translations made by St Constantine-Cyril and Methodius needed for their Moravian mission. This problem area has not been fully explored in Cyrillo-Methodian studies, although a number of hypotheses have been advanced on it. In my text, I attempt to summarize all the opinions expressed by scholars and to analyze them critically by using literary and historical-liturgical methods.
