Summary/Abstract: The article is a follow-up to the article An overview of Latin lessons in the Slovenian state primary school (1958-2016), published in this journal in two parts in 2016 and 2017, which also offered an overview of the school year 2016/2017. The aim of the article is threefold: firstly, to round off, with the school year 2017/2018, the six decades of primary school lessons in Latin (1958-2018); secondly, through a comparison of the last two decades (1998-2008 and 2008-2018), marked by the abolition of eight-year primary school and the introduction of a nine-year programme, to throw light on the collapse brought about by the new norms; and thirdly, to look into the future with the school year 2018/2019. The latter is the chief goal of this article and the whole overview: through documenting more or less everything that can be collected and known about Latin lessons in state primary school in Slovenia to encourage an evaluation that can point to a reliable way forward.
