Summary/Abstract: Glass as a raw material for wine dishes has a long history. The production of glass in a primitive form began somewhere in the region of Near East and Central Asia. The material for making glass could be found very easily. Sand for the production of glass bodies, incinerators and ash, clay for the creation of vessels, stones for the production of fuel, and fuels (wood, coal, peat) was enough in nature. After the long-term transmission of the first information to the Mediterranean coast on the method of glass production, this process is gradually improved by creating an iron pipe for blowing, modifying the raw material for glass, creating more modern foundries, using more efficient fuel (coal), achieving greater hardness of glass, better gloss, the shape of glass and bottle of wine, etc. Finally, in the 20th century, there are a large number of countries (from Europe to the USA) producing excellent glass for wine vessels, either for consumables (glasses, bottles) or wine storage (bottle, demijohn). Today and glass, as one of the best materials that come in contact with the wine, is experiencing a gradual suppression of materials that are more economical in exploitation and such as plastic, aluminum, paper laminate, a combination of prior materials, and the like.
