Summary/Abstract: The cosmetic sector belogs to the capital-intensive branch of industry. In the cosmetic sector at the global level, enormous amounts are invested and the same employs a high percentage of staff. Global cosmetic brands are registering a steady growth rate for cosmetic products markets. Bearing in mind the importance of cosmetics and cosmetic brands in economic and social terms, from which the study of this paper comes. The paper will analyze important categories related primarily to cosmetic brands, the initial development of cosmetic in different cultures, aand carrent economic and market indicators of the most famous global brands. He will work, also, to present a comparative analysis of the value of brands in the cosmetics sector according to the estimates of the three most famous global valuation agencies.
