Summary/Abstract: According to the Law on Nature Protection ("Official Gazette of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina", number 66/13), nature represents a basic value and is one of the most important resources of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and enjoys protection according to the aforementioned law. Continuing with the above, the natural values determined in accordance with the aforementioned law are of interest to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the cantons and have special protection. In addition, it is important to mention that, globally, nature represents one field from which resources are drawn for various life needs, and that man is an indispensable part of that nature. The main goal of this paper is to point out the importance of respecting the Law on Nature Protection, as well as encouraging people to take care of nature together. Ultimately, the goal is to raise citizens' awareness of the importance of nature protection, because it is our only habitat.
