Summary/Abstract: This paper explores the ways to improve the teaching of negotiation disciplines in the Romanian higher education system. Negotiation is an extremely widespread practice among us all, transcending various fields and disciplines. This study explores the efficacy of different teaching methods for negotiation courses. A questionnaire was applied to 90 international relations students to assess their perceptions and preferences regarding hybrid, online, or on-site teaching methods. The findings suggest that each method has distinct advantages and limitations. However, among the respondents there was a significant preference for the hybrid teaching method. The qualitative analysis revealed that students appreciate a more practical and interactive approach to learning negotiations, emphasizing the importance of incorporating, in their negotiation classes, case studies, simulations, and real-world examples. In this context, the need for continuous adaptation of teaching methods, to meet the technological advancements in education, is crucial. Overall, this paper outlines the role of diverse teaching strategies in delivering negotiation disciplines, providing insights for professors seeking to enhance the quality of negotiation courses.
