Summary/Abstract: The impact of the Covid 19 pandemic is negative and far-reaching on the entire world economy. Some industries are extremely hard hit and the question is how long it will take them to recover. Here we primarily mean the aviation industry, tourism and catering. It is estimated that airlines will lose over 100 billion dollars. Great economic damage was inflicted in the first three months on companies that traded with China on a large scale, and that growth spread exponentially as COVID-19 spread across the planet. The insurance sector in the world pays compensation to companies and persons affected by Covid-19, using a large number of different policies. The aim of this paper is to point out the situation and consequences that Covid left on the insurance market in the region, but also in the Republic of Srpska.
