Summary/Abstract: A historian who tries to research a history of the Republic of Srpska, especially the Army of the Republic of Srpska, faces with a hardly surmountable obstacle in the fact that archives of the Army of the Republic of Srpska have been partially destroyed and partially taken away, and partially still unavailable. Hence, a very small number of serious scientific articles on such important topics has been written. One of those topics is combat readiness, order and discipline in the Army of the Republic of Srpska, on various levels, which was significant factor of waging the war. An article on combat readiness, order and discipline in the First Krajina Corp is based on the first degree sources and it is the first historiographical attempt to reconstruct this segment of the past, so that the history of the Corp, as the most signifant in the system of defense of the Republic of Srpska (1992–1995), would become more understandable.
