Summary/Abstract: The quality of one’s romantic relationship plays a significant role in the individual's life satisfaction and subjective well-being. Distress and problems in relationships can have negative effects on physical and psychological health. Additionally, individual psychopathologies can also have detrimental effects on the couple relationship and the partner. In recent years, approaches that focus on couple relationship have been increasingly used in the treatment of individual psychopathologies, recognizing the interactive cycle between individual and relational factors. Furthermore, couple interventions have also been employed in the treatment process of various chronic illnesses such as cancer and infertility. This study aims to review the approaches and practices utilized in couple interventions and provide insights into their current status. Additionally, the study examines the application of couple interventions in individual and chronic health issues, exploring how they are integrated into the treatment process and the benefits they offer. The findings are expected to be informative for clinicians working in the field of couple and individual therapy.
