During 2020, over 190countries were forced to temporarily close educational institutions and start applying the online teaching model, which affected almost 97% of the world's student population. The aim of this paper is to identify the processes and challenges faced by the Montenegrin higher education system during the COVID-19pandemic. The paper describes the implementation of a hybrid model of curriculum implementation at the University of Donja Gorica, as well as the implementation of additional extracurricular activities in changed conditions. The achieved research results are presented in the form of proposals and examples of good practice in the implementation of teaching activities, which can affect the redefinition and improvement of the curriculum
