Summary/Abstract: In recent years, social media has played an increasingly significant role in young people’s lives, influencing not only their social interactions but also their learning experiences. As the demand for educational content on digital platforms grows, it becomes essential to understand how emerging social networks can support learning and knowledge-sharing. This study provides a theoretical perspective on the educational potential of Snapchat, Discord, and Threads, exploring their evolution from entertainment-focused platforms to dynamic spaces facilitating interaction, collaboration, and information exchange. Drawing on existing literature, the paper examines how these networks contribute to informal learning, peer collaboration, and digital literacy among young users. The analysis highlights both the opportunities and challenges identified in the scholarly discourse regarding integrating social media into educational contexts. This perspective underscores the need for further research on leveraging social media as a complementary tool for education, fostering engagement and meaningful learning experiences.
