Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study was to examine interaction effect of sex and age in sexual satisfaction on a sample from the general population of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The sample of this study consisted of 900 volunteers of both sexes from three age groups: aged 18 to 29, 30 to 49, and 50 to 65 years. The following instruments were used: Sociodemographic characteristics questionnaire and New Scale of Sexual Satisfaction. After performing two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), we found statistically significant effects of sex and age, but no statistically significant interaction effect between these two variables. Main effects show that women, on average, had higher degree of sexual satisfaction compared to men, and participants from 18 to 29 and from 30 to 49 age groups achieved a statistically significant higher degree of sexual satisfaction compared to participants aged from 50 to 65 years. Our results partially confirm previous research results conducted in different cultural contexts and can serve as a basis for conducting further research on sexual satisfaction in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
